The Korean Studies Group, Paeumt’ŏ (배움터), was established in the spring of 2002 as a student-led organization for graduate students whose research focus and interests engage with Korea. Our members come from diverse disciplinary backgrounds such as history, literature, art history, sociology, public policy, anthropology, and law.
Paeumt’ŏ is a working group and provides a space in which students can develop their critical voice while being supportive of each other’s work. Members also collectively invite speakers, hold film screenings, and host social events throughout the academic year.
